Dr. Hariprasad K

Dr. Hariprasad K is an experienced Obstetrician and Gynaecologist based in the Taliparamba area of Kannur, Kerala. He practises privately at "Kanavu" near the SNDP office, and is also attached as Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist to Lourde Hospital, where he has been since January 1994. Prior to this he worked for a year as Assistant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at Valluvanaud Hospital in Palakkad.

Dr. Hariprasad did his medical studies at the Government Medical College in Calicut, obtaining an MBBS in 1988, a DGO in 1991 and MD in 1992. He is well-versed with all procedures in obstetrics, gynaecology and infertility treatment. He trained in gynaec endoscopy under Dr. Parul PG and Dr. Hafeez Rahman in 1996.

In obstetric ultrasound Dr. Hariprasad possesses an NT licence from FMF UK. He is skilled in obstetric procedures and high-risk obstetric management. He has been performing vaginal hysterectomy since 1998, and is also skilled in uro-gynaec procedures, colposcopy, laparoscopic surgery for endometriosis and hysteroscopic procedures. Dr. Hariprasad is adept at infertility work-up and also intrauterine insemination (IUI) procedures.

Dr. Hariprasad is involved as a trainer for EMOCAL programmes organised by the Kerala Federation of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (KFOG), and as an assessor and co-ordinator of Confidential Review of Maternal Deaths (CMRD), Kerala. Dr. Hariprasad is also a member of several professional associations connected with his field.
